Warner Brothers from Hollywood come to Aotearoa
International film studio Warner Brothers are filming a global nature documentary series and contacted the Trust to talk about filming the indigenous biodiversity, taonga tuku iho found on Hauturu.
The studio has filmed all over the world and collaborated with indigenous peoples to share their pūrakau and efforts to protect te taiao.
The Trust provided a cultural induction for Warner Brothers and Te Papa Atawhai before heading to Hauturu to begin a week long filming schedule.
During the filming one of our mauri Atuatara came to join us and we took the opportunity to share the whakapapa korero of this ancient kaitiaki.
The completed documentary series will be shared on Disney Plus and all major streaming services.
